Chamberlain Park Golf to remain 18 holes for all Aucklanders

There is excellent news from the Albert-Eden Local Board regarding the future uses of Chamberlain Park Golf Course.

Following the recent local body elections, the composition of members is now evenly split between City Vision and C & R members. They have decided to keep 18 holes at Chamberlain Park, and develop a community playground and park at the far end.

This is a significant win for the Save Chamberlain Park group, who rightly assert that Chamberlain Park is not just a local park for the Albert-Eden local board to manage, but it is a regional asset for all Aucklanders, as the only public golf course on the Auckland isthmus.
