Friends of Regional Parks have a Dune Planting Day this coming Saturday.
You’ll need to get your timing right because access is across Te Muri Stream.
- Meet at the top car-park at Mahurangi West at 9am. Walk down to Te Muri Beach and plant to restore the dune system lost to the storms this year (and maybe do some dune weeding too).
- Gloves and spades will be provided, and the planting will be done by noon at the latest.
- Bring a towel to dry your feet.
