CTA’s winter lecture this year is at Kāhui St David’s.

Step inside one of Auckland’s most remarkable heritage buildings and discover the story of its rescue, restoration, and enduring significance from Allan Matson, heritage advocate and President of CTA, and Paul Baragwanath, Director of Kāhui St David’s centre for music. You will hear how the community came together to save this Category A historic heritage place, and learn about its rich history and distinctive architecture.  

The afternoon will also feature the newly restored 1904 Croft pipe organ, giving visitors the chance to experience its magnificent sound in the space for which it was built. You will also be able to view the latest works by Peata Larkin, created as part of the Art of Remembrance project, which have played a vital role in the campaign to save and renew Kāhui St David’s.

Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate the history, music, art, and community that have given this important historic building a new future.
