MARTIN LAW

Born in the Cotswolds in England, studied in London at Central St Martin’s College of Art and Design, graduating in Industrial Design/Engineering (Honours) 1990. Worked in London as an architectural concept designer and perspective architectural renderer and visualiser, moved to Aotearoa in 2007 and started the Painter of Paradise Project, a painted/drawn record of heritage architecture in our landscape that recognises the importance of architecture and design for communities. Chimneys of Paradise was started to restore brick chimneys of Auckland with lime mortar and traditional techniques, preserving and restoring a unique feature of our city. Martin works from his artist/design studio in Mt Eden.
