Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga is running the Documenting Our Heritage photo competition for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland. Photographers of all skill levels are invited to capture Heritage New Zealand listed places across Auckland.

Submissions are open until Friday 13 March.

• Categories: Best Overall, Best Junior (17 and under), and Popular Choice (voted during exhibition)
• Prizes include vouchers for Auckland Camera Centre, camera cleaning kits, a night for two at Hotel Britomart, framed prints, and keep cups
• Exhibition: Shortlisted photos will be displayed at Highwic from 4–19 April
• Winners announced: April 2026

Selected photos may also be included on the New Zealand Heritage List / Rārangi Kōrero and made available through the Auckland Libraries collection.
