Local board plans – have your say

Local board plans are open for consultation until 23 July. Local board plans set out what each local board wants to achieve for its area over the next three years.

You can give feedback on the draft plan for the area where you live, work or often visit.

Five key focus areas

Community: Supporting people in our diverse communities. This includes council services and community centres like libraries and leisure centres. It also includes public events and play spaces.

Natural environment: Protecting our natural environment. This includes restoring streams in local green spaces and planting in community gardens. It also includes reducing the impacts flooding has on the environment.

Built environment: Supporting local growth and development. Making sure people have access to public spaces and places. This includes supporting public art and design in new buildings. It also includes working with developers to make sure new neighbourhoods are well-connected to local services.

Economic development: Supporting a strong local economy and employment. This includes skills training for young people and supporting local businesses.

Transport: Making it easier for people to get around Auckland. This includes investing in reliable public transport, safer roads, walkways and cycleways.
