
This annual report started in 2018 and provides statistics and research highlighting the benefits Aucklanders gain from engagement with Auckland’s heritage places.
The 2025 edition is in a shorter format and includes a poster, as well as a summary of research from heritage masters students on the adaptive re-use of heritage churches in Auckland and on international heritage management frameworks.

The first two stats in the 2025 report are:
2,446 historic heritage places and 22 areas are protected in the Auckland Unitary Plan and the Hauraki Gulf Islands District Plan.
7,167 people follow the Auckland Heritage Facebook page. This is an increase of 99% since 2018.
