Climate Change Commission publishes submissions

The Climate Change Commission has published submissions received during consultation on Ināia tonu nei: a low emissions future for Aotearoa. These are at www.climatecommission.govt.nz/submissions.

Submissions where the submitters did not consent to publishing have been excluded and some have information redacted, for example, personal or commercially sensitive information. Submissions received by email and mail are published directly on the website. Those received via the online Have Your Say portal will be published there and linked to the website. The submissions are also being published in response to an Official Information Act request received during the consultation period.

The evidence received during the consultation was used to refine the assumptions, judgements, conclusions and recommendations of the Climate Change Commission. You can find about what was changed in Chapter Two of Ināia tonu nei.

More than 15,400 submissions were received: 4,247 via the Have Your Say portal, 11,118 submissions via email, and 39 by post.

The Commission has now finished releasing the models and modelling information used to inform their advice. You can access the models and supporting modelling information here.

If you have any questions about the submissions publication or the release process, email hello@climatecommission.govt.nz.

CTA’s submission is here (as well as on the CTA website Submissions page).
