Today demolition of two heritage houses owned by the Anglican Church in Parnell, was well under way.

Situated by the Cathedral at the top of Brighton Rd and St Stephens Ave, the houses are on land zoned in the Unitary Plan for terrace housing and apartments.

The Church plans to lease the land to developers for apartment development.

Parnell Heritage is saddened by this decision and was featured in a Herald article about the impending demolition on Saturday 11 May.
