Civic Trust Auckland made a presentation on 24 March to Paul Baragwanath, the Chair of Friends of St David’s Trust, to recognise his work in saving St David’s Church in Khyber Pass.

It took place inside the church, with Allan and Hamish presenting a certificate to Paul, which reads: “Civic Trust Auckland in recognition of his tireless work to save St David’s Church hereby confers the status of Heritage Hero upon Paul Baragwanath.” 

St David’s Church was proposed by Civic Trust Auckland to be included on Auckland Council’s historic heritage schedule in our Unitary Plan submission in February 2014. The building now has Category A status.
