The project is progressing steadily and is currently at the final stage of the Detailed Design phase. Documentation required to support the Building Consent (BC) application is being compiled, with the BC application anticipated to be lodged in February.
- Resource Consent has been successfully obtained.
- Soft demolition works and temporary repairs to address weathertightness issues have been completed.
- The Detailed Design and associated documentation have been substantially completed.
- Critical health and safety risks, including asbestos-related issues, have been proactively identified and safely removed.
- Decommissioning of redundant electrical and data services is scheduled to commence in February. The existing security infrastructure will remain operational and will be removed immediately prior to the commencement of the main construction phase.
- Main construction works are currently anticipated to commence in September.
Next Steps:
- Finalise remaining Detailed Design elements and lodge the Building Consent application
- Prepare and issue construction tender documentation
- Commence the construction tender process
