Atiu Creek Regional Park, Kaipara Harbour

• Friday 13^th August (Planting Day) (9:45am-2:30pm)

• Sunday 22^nd August (Planting Day) (9:45am-2:30pm)
• Wednesday 25^th August  (Planting Day) (9:45am-2:30pm)
• Saturday 28^th August (Planting Day) (9:45am-2:30pm)
• Saturday 4^th September (Planting Day) (9:45am-2:30pm)

Planting will run from 9:45am to 2:30pm followed by a sausage sizzle (including vegetarian sausages) This year, 30,000 trees will be planted in this park. Transport will be provided for a limited number of volunteers from the Conservation Volunteers office in Eden Terrace from 8am (returning 4pm) or you can meet on site. Gloves, high-vis vests and spades are supplied.

• Tuesday 14^th September – Apirana Reserve (8.30am – 3pm)
• Tuesday 21^st September – Lynfield Reserve (8.30am – 3pm)
• Tuesday 28^th September – Roy Clements Treeway (8.30am – 3pm)
• Tuesday 5^th October – Watea Reserve (8.30am – 3pm)

The Connecting People with Parks programme runs every Tuesday and sometimes over the weekend. Volunteers leave from the Conservation Volunteers office usually at 8am and return by 4pm, or you can meet at the site. Times vary on weekend projects. Tasks range according to the season and the specific needs of the park. In the winter it is mostly planting native trees and shrubs while at other times of year it can be track and trail maintenance, weed removal, litter clean up, etc
