World Monuments Watch

The World Monuments Fund works with local communities around the world to safeguard irreplaceable heritage. Their biennial, nomination-based open call for the World Monuments Watch is now live.

The World Monuments Watch is WMF’s signature programme, spotlighting places where heritage action can spark meaningful change by responding to urgent threats, addressing community needs, or advancing innovative solutions to global challenges. From this open call, 25 sites will be selected for the 2027 Watch cycle to receive advocacy and direct support from WMF.

The nomination deadline is 5:00 PM EDT on March 20, which is 9:00 AM on March 21 New Zealand time.
