50th Celebratory AGM at Kinder House

Saturday 17th November saw Civic Trust celebrate it’s 50th AGM at Kinder House. President Allan Matson presented a slide show to illustrate his report on the Trust’s activities in the past year.

The guest speaker was Glen Hazelton, presently Director of Organisational Development at Heritage NZ. His presentation was on the revitalisation of the Warehouse District in his time at Dunedin Council. He was awarded the Bluestone Award for Outstanding Contribution to Dunedin Heritage from the Southern Heritage Trust.

Refreshments in the garden followed, with entertainment by  Ramona Rurawhe.

The 50th anniversary cake was popular, along with strawberries and cream. Afternoon tea was catered by Women’s International Leagure for Peace and Freedom Aotearoa/NZ.
