NZTA signs up alliance for cycle pathway across harbour

NZTA has signed up its alliance partners to deliver the Westhaven to Akoranga pathway across Auckland Harbour.  They are Fulton Hogan, HEB Construction, Aurecon, McConnell Dowell and Freyssinet.

NZTA says it means they can finalise the detailed design and prepare for construction to start in 2021, with this section of the pathway expected to open in 2024.

The Northern Pathway project will provide a seamless dedicated walking and cycling link between Auckland’s city centre and the North Shore, connecting with existing local paths to extend Auckland’s walking and cycling network.
