Help to grow the city’s ngahere by planting a free native seedling at home. Through Auckland Council’s Plant More Natives campaign, community nurseries across Tāmaki Makaurau will be giving away thousands of native plants. (Limit of one native seedling per person.) Come along for friendly advice and inspiration to help you bring more birdsong and biodiversity back into your neighbourhood.

• learn how to care for your seedlings
• discover how native planting connects to wider ecological restoration efforts.
